Hi all
This is my last blog!
I finished in schools this week and will spend next week sorting out the office, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and working from home Monday and Wednesday.
Thank you all for your support and prayers. I know that God has used them mightily in the work of ICE and that he will continue to do so as I hand the baton over to Jacquie Elsdon who will start in January!

Happy New Term!
I hope you have all had a good break over the summer. I've had a really good summer. Highlghts include the Keswick convention then DCYC girls camp and then a relaxing week in Nice!

Planning and preparation has begun for the term. My first school visit is next week with an assembly on Monday at Pinhoe school. Other than this there are meets and greets with various youth and children's workers and drumming up volunteers so prayers for plans to fall into place and the right people to come on board would be great!

Date for your diary - Tuesday 28th September - our annual commissioning service 7pm at Riverside church.
It would be great to see you there - and if you can't make it - do send a few prayers up for us all!

We have had lots of encouraging comments this week, particularly about the "Going for Goals" assembly. The assembly links Strictly come dancing, Jesus' goals and gives the children (and staff) goals to aim for this year!
Also this week a child in one of our lunch club when asked in the activity to write any type of promise that they wanted to aim for this year wrote... "to believe in Jesus and God even when my friends don't".
Thanks for all your prayers. We have a lot of lessons at Whipton Barton coming up over the next few weeks so prayers for those would be great, especially as I'm writing brand new lessons on signs and symboles next week in preparation.

Hope you have all had a good break over Christmas.
I feel refreshed and am gearing up for another term!
We have a fairly quiet week this week. It will be spent booking assemblies, writing assemblies and contacting associate workers ready for the lunch clubs which start next week.
We have one assembly this week on Wednesday at Whipton Barton, 10:20am. The theme is Epiphany!
