Hannah's sabbatical ideas

I've been at ICE 7 years now which means that I am granted a 6 week sabbatical which I'm taking over the summer!....
Here are my ideas for how I'll spend the time.

Here are my thoughts and timings (in italics) using the prompts from the handbook…
The sabbatical may consist of some or all of the following:

• Period of rest and spiritual reflection (Keswick convention Sun 18th-Fri 24th July) also potentially a day visit to New Wine?
• Time to read (there are several books that I would like to read)
• Opportunity to spend quality time with spouse/family (our aim is to visit parents over this time and spend some quality time with my non- Christian school friends)
• Time to observe others in a similar line of ministry (Fri 7th-Sat 8th August DCYC girls camp – observing children’s worker Lauren McConnell in her role as speaker)
• Other relevant activities which the member of staff has been unable to undertake due to pressure of work (I would like to spend some time fleshing out a team devotional book particularly geared towards youth worker devotional times as I don’t think there are many if any books like this).

We have Zoe Elsdon in for work experience this week. I have already met Zoe on DCYC girls camp last year and am excited about working with her! We have lots of MOUSE lessons coming up this week which is a great way of building relationships with the year 6s and introducing them to their ICE workers in secondary schools!
