Here are my ideas for how I'll spend the time.
Hannah’s 6 week sabbatical plan Mon 20th July-Mon 31st August 2009
Here are my thoughts and timings (in italics) using the prompts from the handbook…
The sabbatical may consist of some or all of the following:
- Period of rest and spiritual reflection (Keswick convention Sun 18th-Fri 24th July) also potentially a day visit to New Wine?
- Time to read (there are several books that I would like to read)
- Opportunity to spend quality time with spouse/family (our aim is to visit parents over this time and spend some quality time with my non- Christian school friends)
- Time to observe others in a similar line of ministry (Fri 7th-Sat 8th August DCYC girls camp – observing children’s worker Lauren McConnell in her role as speaker)
- Other relevant activities which the member of staff has been unable to undertake due to pressure of work (I would like to spend some time fleshing out a team devotional book particularly geared towards youth worker devotional times as I don’t think there are many if any books like this).
